Salary: £5.50 per hour

Are you looking for a fantastic opportunity to join a busy retailer and ensure the highest level of customer service is met when handling queries and receptionist duties?

Are you also looking to undertake an apprenticeship in order to develop your skills and progress in your career?

Within this placement, you would undertake a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship and gain transferable knowledge, skills and behaviours by on-the-job training methods and off-the-job workshops at our training academy.

An outline of the duties you could expect in this role:

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office

  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office

  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls

  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material

  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email

  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries

  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)

  • Order front office supplies and keep an inventory of stock

  • Update calendars and schedule meetings

  • Arrange travel and accommodations, and prepare vouchers

  • Keep updated records of office expenses and costs

  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing

Personal qualities and skills

  • Confident at communicating at all levels

  • Knowledge of sales background, although training on products would be provided, an interest in targets may be useful

  • Professional approach

  • Good IT and processing skills

  • Minimum GCSE level qualifications
